Royce, I am so blessed to have you for my son. I love you and am proud of you. I know that God has wonderful plans for you and your life. I know also that God works all things for good in our lives. I'm sorry that I was not a stronger person when you were young but we all have lessons in life we learn. I wish I could express how special you are to me and how much you mean to me. Royce and Jen, Hey guys. Just got done with my first read of your book. I was going to first proof read it then read it to "read it", but I have to tell you that my plan got changed after the first 5 pages of chapter 1. That said, I found it to be a page turner from beginning to end. I will get into "proofing" mode and re-read it ASAP, but let me just say that I am very impressed and I thank you very much for sharing it with me. Truly, Ed.

Thank you Royce for stopping the cycle of abuse in our family. You have made a stand and forced each one of us to look at the way we deal with our own children. You have opened the door and allowed each one of us to openly talk about events in our childhood and things are not kept "secret" anymore. I'm so proud of you for finishing it. while i was reading it i remembered sitting on the couch at Aris place and reading certain chapters and thinking how sad i was that such a great person went through so much stuff. you have come so far. Uncle Royce;
I want to say a few things. First off, your book is amazing. I had no idea any of this had gone on and it helped me understand a lot about a lot of things. Even being sixteen years old, I have dealt with a lot of things with my parents splitting up and I admit I have felt responsible once or twice and I've felt stupid and worthless before, too. I now know as well that people we love can be gone at any moment in time and you don't really know exactly when your last chance to say goodbye will be. I had no idea you even tried to commit suicide. I'm so glad you didn't, because I love you and also, with what you went through with it, I'm sure you're going to make a big impact on the world with what you've got to say, I know you've impacted me. =) When someone goes through all you've gone through and can make it out and TELL your story to the world, that to me is a little bit more than incredible. Guess what else? You've achieved your goals, too. You're a success! =) I love you soo much and your wonderful family. Thank you for helping me learn a couple new life lessons i really needed.
